Too much visibility

So much of this forum is visible, the moment you sign up.

It's not a very comfortable way to have it, all you have to do is sign up, activate, and you can see ALL of our plotting.

Is this likely to change in the future?

I figured about it.. But should we move all strategy posts to the officers only sections ? What do you suggest ?

we used usergroups on the old vindor forums

people who only just joined up could only see the introduction forum and maybe the hall of fame forum but that was it.

if they were confirmed to be members of the alliance they were accepted into a usergroup which gave them access to the trade, learning the game and general chat forums.

another usergroup consisted of trusted members. people who have proven their loyalty and we believe to not be spies. those would have access to all boards except officers, including the war forum where all the most classified of data is discussed.

I suggest we go back to that way, at least somewhat.

hmm i think we'll lose even more communicating members if we keep them away from our forums...

approving someone after signing up sure is okay, but after that there shouldn't be any further restrictions... except the officer's lounge...

i mean just look at jaws... he's locked out and only sees non-member area... i'm pretty sure he'll quit in a short period of time...

We should have :

• Members : all access to categories exept "this is war" and "officers only".

• Trusted membets : all access exept "officers only".

• Officers : all access = moderators.

All the new ones to Members. Once they have proven their loyalty : From Members to Trusted...
